阿德南经典语录：痛骂砂移民局的没认真做事

1。 “We don’t want Sarawak to be like Sabah. You know about the big problem in Sabah. They let it go on. They should have done (something about) it years ago. Now the problem is huge. You want Sarawak to be like that? Put a stop to it now when the problem is still at the beginning (stage).”

我们不要砂拉越像沙巴，你们知道沙巴的问题。可是他们放任事情的发生，他们早几年前就应该做一些事了。现在问题很大了。你们要砂拉越也这样？在问题发生的初期，就要停止它！

2. “ The state government informed the Immigration Depart-ment of the problem a year ago, “but nothing was done”, it was unacceptable for the authorities to “not know about it” when there were hundreds of Filipinos living in illegal settlements in Miri.”

州政府一年前已经通知砂移民局有关非法移民问题，可是他们什么都没做。当数百名菲律宾人在美里非法居留时，移民局却对此毫不知觉？这根本就不能被接受。

虽然阿德南无法接受砂移民局竟然不知有逾百名菲律宾非法移民潜入境内的态度，不过，铁汉也有柔情一面，对被捕的非法移民中包括妇孺，他也特别提醒相关单位必须人道处理。

3.“Of course there are women and children involved. Don’t think I enjoy doing this sort of thing to children and women. I have given instructions that they must be treated humanely. Give them food, drinks, then deport them. Dia pun manusia juga (They, too, are human beings) but we must be firm.”

非法移民中一定有妇女和小孩，我不觉得我会喜欢对付妇孺。我已经给指示要人道处理，给他们食物和饮料，毕竟他们也是人，但执法上我们还是必须强硬。

4. “Weak enforcement” was basically the cause that allows the problem to grow. There will be prosecutions, not only against illegal loggers, but also against forest officers who collaborate with them.

软弱执法就是衍生问题的基本来源。所以一定会有检举，不单单只是对付非法伐木者，也是对付那些一起“合作”的森林局官员。

2. “ I pity (DCM Tan Sri Joseph Pairin) having to handle the committee. We (Sarawak) will not follow your example. ”

我很同情沙巴副首席部长佐瑟拜宁必须着手处理令人头痛的非法移民课题，但我们(砂拉越)不会随你的脚步。

3. “I am also surprised by the big jump in Sabah population, from about 700k before and to 3mil now.”

我很惊讶沙巴的人口剧增，从70万增加到现在的300万。

4. “It cannot be a matter of increase in Sabahans. We also don't want that kind of population increase.”

这样的人口增长不可能来自沙巴人，我们不要这样的人口剧增。

5. “When people see timber, all they see us the dollar sign. They don't see the beauty of the jungle.”

当人们看到木材时，他们眼里只看到钱，他们不会看到森林的美妙之处。
